He moved to escape the pace of life that he lived in the city, to slow down and to search for answers. We shared videos and images and phone calls as he lived his life of consolation. I never went to visit him in his new home, which I regret, this painting is a memory, from a place that I have never been. I painted this as a celebration of our long friendship.
